Our
classroom facilities are among the best within the industry locally. We
utilise all the latest technologies within our teaching environment including,
DVD's, Videos and Laptop computers with broadband connections. Scuba Diving
is a technologically advanced sport, teaching scuba diving should also
embrace the latest technologies, however we also have a marker pen and
board and are more than willing to use them for those who prefer more
traditional methods.

As
you can see, students learn from a variety of sources including books,
lectures, videos and DVD's and of course computers and the internet. |
Learning
to scuba dive includes classroom based tuition and confined water sessions
where the skills studied in the classroom are then practiced underwater
in controlled situation. |
 |
 |
From
the classroom and the pool the student takes their new found skills out
into the OPEN WATER (in our case this is usually a old dissused slate
quarry in Wales.) Here they demonstrate to the instructor the drills and
practices that they have learnt to a satisfactory level and then we all
go for a pint!
A
simple test is completed and the diver is an Open Water Qualified Diver
- then just like driving you really learn how to dive! |
